Due Diligence Requirements
New clients
For the proposed
BVI company:
- Information, and
documentation if available, describing the intended activities of the
company
- The source of
any funds or assets which are to be held by the BVI company.
For each beneficial
owner of the proposed BVI company:
- Full name
- Permanent residential
address - both mailing and street address, if different
- Background information
(this may be in the form of a C.V.)
- Copy of a government
issued identification certified as a true copy by a notary public
- Copy of utility
bill as proof of address certified true copy by a notary public
- A reference from
a professional advisor (outline pro-forma attached)
- A reference from
a recognized bank
- Confirmation of
professional tax advice from accountants or tax lawyers and that the
beneficial owners are aware of the tax consequences of having beneficial
ownership in a foreign corporation
